Italian Innovation Center (Centro innovazione italiano) in Yangpu District, Shanghai
The Italian Innovation Center (CII), established on January 13, 2025, in Yangpu District, Shanghai, with the support of various levels of the Shanghai municipal government, serves as a key platform for fostering in-depth cooperation between China and Italy in the fields of economy, trade, culture, technology, and education. The Center focuses on four core functions: "Economic and Trade Connectivity, Cultural Exchange, Empowerment for Global Expansion, and Two-Way Investment." It is dedicated to facilitating the successful implementation of innovation by Italian enterprises in the Chinese market, while also assisting Chinese companies in connecting with European resources. By building a two-way, open international ecosystem, the Center aims to promote and advance collaborative exchanges between China and Italy in economic, cultural, educational, and social domains.

The Italian Innovation Center is emerging as a "super hub" connecting innovation resources between China and Italy, contributing to Shanghai's vision of establishing a globally influential benchmark for international cooperation.

  · Provide legal, policy and market consulting services for Italian enterprises to land in China, reducing cross-border operation barriers.

  · Organize bilateral economic and trade fairs, industry summits, focusing on Italian advantageous sectors such as high-end manufacturing, design, and green technology.


Innovative Technology Cooperation
  · Collaborate with universities in Yangpu District (e.g., Fudan University, Tongji University), research institutions, and associations (e.g., Italian professional industry associations) to promote joint R&D between Chinese and Italian enterprises in AI, biomedicine, etc.
