As preparations for the eighth edition of the China International Import Expo (CIIE) proceed at full speed, the Italian Innovation Center presents the new chapter of its thematic initiative “Con la Lettera come Ponte · Incontro alla CIIE” (With Letters as Bridges · Meeting at the CIIE).

Following the great success of the previous postcard exchange activity “Con la Lettera come Ponte”, which received widespread acclaim in various Italian circles, numerous friends from the political, business, and cultural worlds in Italy have expressed their support and expectations for the CIIE through handwritten messages and video messages.

In the video, the deputy mayor of the city of Palmi in the Calabria region, Solidea Schipilliti, the director of the Department of Tourism, Giuseppe Magazzù, and several Italian entrepreneurs hold up commemorative postcards with the symbols of cities in China and Italy, smiling as they write their greetings.

The activity, conceived and organized by the Italian Innovation Center, is an important part of the preparations for the Italian pavilion at the CIIE. The initiative aims to promote economic and commercial cooperation through cultural interaction and to strengthen mutual trust between the two countries through human exchange. Each postcard, each message of good wishes, unites the shared hopes of the Chinese and Italian peoples for the future—letting the letters become a bridge of communication, cooperation a concrete reality, and friendship a lasting tradition.

Between the warmth of the paper and the light of the images, the story of “With Letters as Bridges” continues. At the eighth China International Import Expo, China and Italy will once again walk side by side, keeping faith with a commitment to trust and friendship.
