On April 10, 2025, the Italian Innovation Center welcomed an official visit by Fu Caiping, Deputy Director of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Shanghai Putuo District Committee, and her delegation. Xu Shunwu, President of the Italian Innovation Center, led the team in a warm reception. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on the center's development history, future plans, and China-Italy innovation cooperation, seeking new opportunities for development together.

In his welcome address, President Xu Shunwu extended a warm welcome to Deputy Director Fu Caiping and her delegation, emphasizing that the Italian Innovation Center has always been committed to promoting in-depth cooperation between China and Italy in the fields of technology, culture, and economic trade. He stated that the visit by the United Front Work Department of Putuo District Committee not only reflects the Chinese government's high regard for international innovation platforms but also lays a solid foundation for further deepening cooperation between the two sides.

During the exchange meeting, Minister Ma of the United Front Work Department of Putuo District Committee detailed the establishment background and development history of the Italian Innovation Center, reviewing the fruitful achievements the center has made in promoting the docking of China-Italy innovation resources and building high-level cooperation platforms. Minister Ma particularly mentioned that the center's growth is inseparable from the strong support of the governments, enterprises, and all sectors of society of the two countries, and in the future, it will continue to play the role of a bridge to help build a global innovation ecosystem.

Subsequently, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions on the strategic development direction of the Italian Innovation Center. Deputy Director Fu Caiping fully affirmed the positive role played by the Center in promoting transnational technology transfer and talent exchange, and stated that Putuo District will fully support the Center in expanding its cooperation network, optimizing its service system, and building a more influential international innovation hub. The participating representatives also exchanged views on cooperation opportunities in cutting-edge fields such as the digital economy and green technology, and agreed that industry-university-research collaboration should be strengthened to explore new win-win models.

This meeting has not only deepened the friendly relations between the Italian Innovation Center and Putuo District but also pointed out the direction for future cooperation. President Xu concluded, "We look forward to joining hands with Putuo District and more Chinese partners.
