On the afternoon of December 10th, Xu Shunwu, President of the Italian Innovation Center, led a delegation to visit the management team of Hongqiao Pinhui. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as economic and trade cooperation, cultural exchange, and brand introduction, jointly exploring opportunities for collaboration and envisioning a new future for Sino-Italian cooperation.
During the exchange, the Italian Innovation Center delegation presented a variety of Italian specialty products and project resources that have not yet entered the Chinese market, covering high-end foods, perfumes, handcrafted soaps, and other advantageous Italian categories. They also shared the center's existing experience and future plans in promoting exchanges between China and Italy in fields such as fashion, culture, and education. The teams from Hongqiao Pinhui and Shanghai International Sister Cities Port provided a detailed introduction to the platform's functional positioning, policy advantages, and full-industry-chain service capabilities. They specifically highlighted the comprehensive layout of the coffee industry chain, from bean sourcing to training, as well as the mature pathways for brand incubation through live-streaming e-commerce and cultural activities.

Based on thorough communication, the two parties reached a consensus on cooperation in multiple areas, including product introduction and brand incubation, cultural exchange and event collaboration, as well as industrial cooperation and talent cultivation. This meeting was grounded in a shared vision and focused on pragmatic advancement. In the future, Hongqiao Pinhui and the Shanghai International Sister Cities Port will deepen their collaboration with the Italian Innovation Center to jointly build a solid bridge for Sino-Italian economic, trade, and cultural cooperation. They aim to bring more high-quality Italian products to Chinese consumers, continuously leveraging the platform's two-way empowerment role to help Sino-Italian cooperation take root and thrive in an even broader range of fields.
Hongqiao Pinhui (Hongqiao Imported Commodities Exhibition and Trading Center) is Shanghai's main "6+365" permanent exhibition and trading platform, designed to harness the spillover effects of the China International Import Expo (CIIE). Through an innovative model combining "bonded display, cross-border e-commerce, and general trade," it provides overseas brands with full-chain services ranging from customs declaration and warehousing to exhibition, sales, and channel development, striving to create a "never-ending CIIE."
The Shanghai International Sister Cities Port is an international resource matching platform established within Hongqiao Pinhui. It is jointly developed by the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and the Orient International Group. Leveraging Shanghai's extensive network of international sister cities, it provides first-stop display, promotion, and cooperation services for the goods, industries, and cultures of these cities to enter the Chinese market. It serves as a vital vehicle for facilitating the transformation of "exhibits into commodities and exhibitors into investors."
