The report reads as follows:
Chinese Delegation Visits Perugia: "Strengthening Cooperation Between Umbria and Shanghai"

Yangpu District is one of Shanghai's main economic and innovation centers. Yangpu represents a dynamic, safe, and efficient business environment with a strong international orientation, providing a favorable ecosystem for both Chinese and foreign enterprises.
An important government delegation from Shanghai's Yangpu District, led by Qin Liping and including heads of departments such as organization, regional development, and investment promotion – Zhao Peijun, Sun Hongbing, Gong Airu, Yang Mei, and Pan Jie – recently visited Perugia for a full day of intensive institutional and corporate exchange activities.
The day began with a visit to the Academy of Fine Arts of Perugia, where the delegation met with the Academy's President, lawyer Mario Rampini, its Director, Professor Tiziana d'Acchille, and Professor Furin. Subsequently, the delegation met with Professor Diana Salciarini, the Rector's Delegate for Internationalization, who conveyed greetings from the Academic Senate and introduced the directors of the engineering departments: Professor Filippo Ubertini (Civil and Environmental Engineering) and Professor Gianluca Rossi. The program continued at SAB Architecture and Integrated Engineering. The company's director, Stefano Adriani, emphasized the company's role in internationalization processes and recalled its participation in the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai last October, at the invitation of the Italian Innovation Center. The company's foreign affairs manager, Architect Fabrizio Carloncelli, stressed the importance of dialogue between Yangpu and the Umbria region.

The Shanghai-based Italian Innovation Center also played a bridging role. Led by Xu Shunwu, the center is committed to supporting cooperation between businesses, institutions, and academia.
The day concluded with a meeting at Confindustria Umbria. Representing the industrial association system were Raoul Ranieri, President of Umbria Export, and Cillian Fani O'Broin, head of the internationalization department. The discussions focused on opportunities for economic and industrial cooperation and the development of new internationalization paths.
This visit represents a concrete step toward building structured cooperation between Umbria and China, with the aim of creating new shared development opportunities for both regions.
The positive media coverage from the Italian side not only affirms the outcomes of this visit but also reflects Italy's strong expectation of establishing long-term cooperative partnerships with Shanghai. In the future, the Italian Innovation Center will spare no effort to ensure that this cooperation yields even more tangible results for both regions!
