On the afternoon of May 22, the High-Quality Development Symposium on Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education and the Tongji Sino-Italian Institute of Engineering Innovation Curriculum Development Review Meeting were held at Tongji University. Marco Xu, President of the Italian Innovation Center, was invited to attend.

Zhou Qinjian, Director of the International Exchange Division of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, and Lü Peiming, Executive Vice President of Tongji University, attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

Representatives from Italian institutions in attendance included Xing Jianjun, Head of the Italian Education Center in China, and Marco Xu, President of the Italian Innovation Center. Experts from universities and research institutions included Liu Yi, Deputy Party Secretary of the Sino-European Institute of Technology at Shanghai University and Vice Dean of the Lisbon Institute; Wang Qicai, Associate Professor at the School of Philosophy, Law and Political Science at Shanghai Normal University; and Liu Yuyi, Researcher at the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Corporate representatives included Chen Lianggui, General Manager of Shanghai United Credit Information Co., Ltd.; Yin Jifu, Director of the Key Laboratory at the National Engineering Research Center for Dredging Technology and Equipment, CCCC; and Xue Ming, Head of the Marketing Center at Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center Co., Ltd. University representatives from Tongji included Yin Wen, Director of the Office of International Affairs; Liu Chun, Executive Vice Dean of the National Elite Engineers Academy, Executive Vice Dean of the International Engineers School, Deputy Dean of the Graduate School, and Vice Dean of the Sino-Italian Institute of Engineering Innovation; and Cai Liming, Vice Dean of the Sino-German College, along with other leaders from relevant university departments and schools.

During the meeting, the Sino-Italian Institute of Engineering Innovation presented a systematic report on its development progress and the curriculum plans for its various programs. In the discussion session, the Italian Innovation Center, drawing on its experience in Italian engineering education, offered constructive suggestions on optimizing the educational model, internationalizing the curriculum, and facilitating two-way exchanges between faculty and students.

Marco Xu, President of the Italian Innovation Center, stated that the Italian Innovation Center will continue to serve as a bridge, promoting broader cooperation between Chinese and Italian universities and enterprises, and jointly cultivating outstanding engineering talent with a global perspective.

This review meeting has charted a clear direction for the talent development system of the Sino-Italian Institute of Engineering Innovation. The Italian Innovation Center will work hand in hand with Tongji University to help build a Sino-Italian cooperative education brand of international influence.
