Recently, the Italian Innovation Center was officially named a China ecosystem partner of Wave by Vento, a premier European tech innovation event. This milestone partnership marks the Italian Innovation Center as a key hub, opening the door for Chinese innovators to access Europe's core technology networks.

A New Benchmark for European Tech Innovation: Wave by Vento

This October, the global tech community will once again turn its attention to Turin, Italy. Wave by Vento, a top-tier innovation event reborn from the renowned Italian Tech Week, will take place in a city that blends a deep industrial heritage with cutting-edge innovation.

This is more than a simple rebranding; it is a philosophical upgrade. "Wave" symbolizes the tide of technological change, while "Vento" (Italian for wind) represents speed and momentum. Since its inception, the event has evolved alongside global tech trends, continuously refining its service models and ecosystem. Now in its sixth edition, Wave by Vento has established itself as a benchmark for European Tech Week, aiming to gather innovative energy from across the globe and create a European-based hub that connects the world.

Why Wave by Vento is Unmissable

Past editions have drawn world-class leaders such as Jeff Bezos, Sam Altman, Ursula von der Leyen, and Reid Hoffman. In 2026, the speaker lineup reaches new heights. Dario Amodei, founder and CEO of Anthropic, will appear in Turin for a deep dialogue with John Elkann, Chairman and CEO of EXOR, Stellantis, and Ferrari. Together, they will explore the next decade of technology-industry convergence from multiple perspectives.

Joining them will be an impressive roster of heavyweights from technology, design, and finance: Jony Ive (founder of LoveFrom, former Chief Design Officer of Apple), Joe Tsai (Alibaba Group), Linda Rottenberg (Endeavor), Bryan Kim (a16z), and Anas Biad (Sequoia Capital).

This is not only a feast of ideas but also a high-value practical platform for specific groups:

For enterprises (especially tech and manufacturing): This is an exceptional springboard for "technology going global" and "industrial upgrading." Through keynote speeches and deep conversations, companies can access the latest trends in AI, climate tech, and advanced manufacturing. More importantly, dedicated networking zones and matchmaking tools allow technologies to find European application scenarios, moving beyond product exports to technology enablement.

For government agencies and public institutions: This is a frontline window for "understanding European innovation governance" and "attracting investment and talent." As one of Europe's most dynamic entrepreneurial hubs, government representatives can observe Europe's latest science and innovation policies and industry-academia-research collaboration models, while also attracting top European projects and talent to China, driving bilateral industrial investment and market expansion.

For investors (VC/PE): This is precision radar for "capturing early-stage unicorns" and "allocating global assets." Here, capital can efficiently connect with Europe's most forward-looking founders, screen high-growth validated projects, and forge powerful synergies between capital and exceptional entrepreneurs, deeply linking Europe's capital ecosystem with global opportunities.

Our Role: The Italian Innovation Center

As a government cooperation platform long dedicated to advancing exchanges between China and Italy in technological innovation, technology transfer, and high-level talent, the Italian Innovation Center has consistently served as an "innovation ferryman." With deep roots in both Italian and Chinese industrial and capital networks, we have accumulated extensive bilateral resources and project experience in engineering design, smart manufacturing, AI applications, and cross-cultural talent development.

Co-Creating the Future: A Bridge Connecting European and Chinese Innovation

The Italian Innovation Center is honored to have become Wave by Vento's core ecosystem partner in China. This recognition of our work also carries a responsibility for the future. We will:

Guide: Provide China's leading tech enterprises, investment institutions, and innovation platforms with direct access to Europe's core innovation networks and customized participation solutions.

Amplify: Help Europe's top entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and investors gain a more authentic and in-depth understanding of the vitality and opportunities within China's innovation ecosystem.

Co-create: Drive both sides from "observation" to "collaboration" — from exchange to cooperation — generating tangible results in technology co-creation, industrial investment, and market expansion.

The Italian Innovation Center will soon unveil specific plans for engaging with this event. Stay tuned! Together, in October 2026, let's ride the wave of innovation and connect with the world's leading innovation resources.
